  • The Lyon College football team is part of the Sooner Athletic Conference of the NAIA. Lyon College’s mascot is the Scots. The college also fields an intramural sports program.
  • Lyon College offers courses of study leading to a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, depending on the major chosen and, in some cases, the course of study within the major.
  • Lyon College was originally called Arkansas College. It was founded in 1872 by the Rev. Isaac Long. Morrow Hall was built in 1873 as the first permanent building of Arkansas College.
