There are two types of test format available for IELTS exams: paper-based or computer-delivered. For both formats, the Speaking Section is done with a real IELTS examiner on a face-to-face basis.

Parties
A multi-party system, regulated by numerous political requirements, has existed since 1983. The ten percent threshold applies to parliamentary elections. The most influential parties include the Justice and Development Party (AKP; founded 2001), the Republican People’s Party (CHP; founded 1923; social democratic), the National Movement Party (MHP; founded 1960; nationalist) and the People’s Democratic Party (HDP; founded in 2012; pro-Kurdish, left- and minority-oriented). The illegal Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK ; founded 1978) is considered a terrorist organization.
Unions
Turkish trade unions are prohibited from political activity. Recognition, collective bargaining, strike and demonstration rights are regulated restrictively. There is a ban on coalitions for certain professional groups. The most important umbrella organizations include Türk-İş (Türkiye İşçi Sendikaları Konfederasyonu; founded 1952) with 1.75 million members according to their own information, DİSK (Türkiye Devrimci İşçi Sendikaları Konfederasyonu, founded 1967, left-oriented), HAK-İş (Türkiye Hak İşçi Sendikaları Konfederasyonu; founded in 1976, Islamic-conservative, Memur-Sen (Federation of Civil Servants’ Unions) and KESK (Kamu Emekçileri Sendikaları Konfederasyonu; founded 1995) also for public sector employees. Except for Memur Sen, the associations are members of the ITUC and the ETUC HAK-İş, Memur-Sen and Türk-İş are regarded as unions close to the government.
Military
The conscript army (basic military service lasts 12 months) has around 355,000 men, plus 380,000 reservists. In 2019, Turkey was the ninth strongest military nation in the world. Turkey has been a member of NATO since 1952.
