Factors and Procedures Used in Admissions
(Data appear as originally submitted by this school)
Full-time program |
The Wharton Admissions Committee is committed to selecting a diverse group of talented students, coming from a variety of academic, professional and personal backgrounds.
Wharton requires two letters of recommendation, which should be professional and preferably coming from a supervisor. The overall number of years worked is not a deciding factor in the admissions review process. |
Executive program |
Identical to Wharton???s full-time MBA. Applications are online. Deadline is February 1st. Application requirements are: GMAT, transcripts, interview, letter of sponsorship from employer, two recommendations, and three essays. The admissions committee evaluates academic achievement and test results, professional work experience, including managerial responsibilities, and leadership potential. |

Curricula Descriptions
(Data appear as originally submitted by this school)
Full-time program |
Wharton’s MBA curriculum offers depth, breadth, and options. The curriculum emphasizes an in-depth core in general management, plus the depth of 19 majors and breadth of nearly 200 electives.
The intensive first-year core curriculum provides a foundation of general management skills, combined with an unmatched range of majors and electives in the second year. |
Executive program |
The curriculum is the same as Wharton’s full-time program but delivered in a format that allows students to complete the degree in two years while continuing to work. The required core courses are taught during the first three semesters. The fourth semester contains some core coursework and some electives. During the last two semesters students take elective courses to meet their career needs. |
