Admission to Thunderbird’s MBA in Global Management program requires academic excellence and professional work experience; acceptance is based on an overall review of an applicant’s credentials. The application requires all undergraduate transcripts, resume, letters of recommendation, GMAT (or GRE) scores, TOEFL scores (if necessary), 3 personal essays, a completed application form and $125 fee.
Executive program
The Thunderbird Executive MBA program requires a minimum of eight years full-time work experience since receiving an undergraduate degree, to include at least three years proven managerial experience. The application includes an employment and educational history form, two personal essays, letters of recommendation, official transcripts, and a $125 application fee.

Full-time program
The focus of a Thunderbird education is to learn management from a global perspective. Every course reflects this goal. It’s not just marketing, but global marketing, not just strategy, but global strategy. Campus learning is complemented by a 2-3 week course exploring management challenges in another part of the globe. Required language proficiency rounds out Thunderbird’s unique curriculum.
Executive program
The Executive MBA program combines a traditional MBA curriculum with in-depth international and language studies and two overseas modules. The alternate weekend format offers convenience and maximizes interaction among students in a multilingual, multinational setting. Instruction centers on the ability to manage cross-culturally that is the key to success in today’s global marketplace.

The Global MBA On-Demand lets professionals learn from anywhere world-wide via technology that allows global collaboration. Coursework is 75% online and 25% on-site in the U.S., Europe, and China. Three program components – World Business, International Studies, Cross-Cultural and Business Communication – deliver a unique learning experience which prepare managers to work successfully worldwide.
