Columbia Business School fosters an entrepreneurial mind-set aimed at identifying and capturing opportunity in a rapidly changing world. It seeks intellectually driven, vibrant students from diverse economic, social, ethnic and geographic backgrounds who possess a record of achievement, leadership and the ability to work as members of a team. The School admits students in January and September.
Executive program
The Columbia Executive MBA programs are designed for people with significant professional achievement, organizational responsibilities and an average of ten years’ experience. Admission requirements include assured time off for all class days; an undergraduate degree; all transcripts from previous schools; two professional reference letters; GMAT scores and an on-campus interview.

Full-time program
The School seeks to equip students with both fundamentals of management and analytical skills. New curricular initiatives, such as the Program on Social Intelligence, inculcate students with lifelong leadership capabilities. New core classes represent 40 percent of the degree requirement; students may choose from more than 150 elective courses and graduate-level courses from across the University.
Executive program
Columbia Executive MBA students earn the same degree as full-time Columbia MBA students with the same number of courses. Four programs are available: New York; EMBA-Saturday, Global A&E ran jointly with London Business School (LBS); Berkeley-Columbia in collaboration with Haas School of Business at Berkeley; and Global Asia, a partnership with LBS and Hong Kong University Business School.
