Yale SOM seeks broad-minded, intellectually curious individuals from a variety of academic, cultural, and professional backgrounds. Admission decisions are based on leadership potential, as demonstrated through work experience, extracurricular activities, essays, and two letters of recommendation, as well as standardized tests and academic record. An invitation-only interview is also a component.
Executive program
MBA-e: Leadership in Healthcare applicants must be working full-time in a managerial/executive role in healthcare and have a minimum of seven years of professional experience. Admissions decisions are made on the basis of an applicant’s professional accomplishments and goals, past academic performance, verbal and quantitative abilities as demonstrated on the GMAT, and personal interviews.

Full-time program
Since its founding in 1974, the Yale School of Management has gained international recognition for its innovative approach to management education. In 2006, the school introduced the Yale integrated MBA curriculum, replacing traditional functional courses with cross-disciplinary courses. All MBA students also complete an international seminar during the first-year.
Executive program
The Yale MBA curriculum is designed to educate and provide the essential tools to enable students to understand organizations, markets and their interplay with the broader society. The Yale MBA-e: Leadership in Healthcare program combines this curricular model with a healthcare-exclusive student population to bring together the industry’s business, clinical and societal aspects.
