| VUSM seeks to admit a diverse group of academically exceptional students whose attributes and accomplishments suggest they will become leaders and scholars in medicine. After initial review of AMCAS data, 21% of applicants are invited to interview and provide secondary essays and recommendations. A faculty-student committee reviews all data in a holistic manner and offers rolling admissions. |

| Four-year program curriculum |
| Vanderbilt’s curriculum provides students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to become leaders and scholars in medicine. Students build a strong foundation in the biomedical and social sciences while developing clinical competence and a sustainable professional identity. A mentored scholarly project is required and electives throughout the program allow exploration of individual interests. |
