Full-time program |
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree. Official transcripts, an official GMAT score report, resume, and 1-2 page goal statement are required. The goal statement should address reasons for pursuing an MBA, how it fits into career aspirations and why they have chosen the University of Houston. Two letters of recommendation from academics, employers or professionals are required. |
Executive program |
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree. Official transcripts from all universities attended, a resume, two letters of appraisal, and an organizational endorsement must be submitted. A minimum of 5 years of full time business or professional experience is required. The GMAT is not required for admission to the Executive MBA program. |
Part-time program |
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree. Official transcripts, an official GMAT score report, resume, and 1-2 page goal statement are required. Full-time program |
The Full-Time Day program features 30 hrs of core classes that provide an essential overview of business knowledge. Students are also required to complete an additional 18 hours of electives. A subset of the electives can be selected to meet the requirements for a separate MBA certificate. Some of the topic areas include Energy Finance, Energy Risk Management, and Sales Leadership. |
Executive program |
The executive program’s curriculum consists of 16 modules for a total of 48 credit hours. Students may choose the 18 month or 22 month curriculum schedule. The 18 month schedule requires students to meet every Monday and Thursday from 5:30 to 9:30; the 22 month schedule meets every other weekend on Friday and Saturday from 8:00 to 5:00. |
Part-time program |
The Houston Evening Program features the same curriculum as the Full-Time Day program. This includes 30 hrs of core classes that provide an essential overview of business knowledge, and an additional 18 hours of electives. A subset of the electives can be selected to meet the requirements for a separate MBA certificate. |
