LECOM seeks students who will excel in academics, clinical care, research and community service. Competetive candidates have GPAs of 3.3 or higher and MCATs of 24 or higher. LECOM requires a D.O. recommendation showing the applicant has awareness of osteopathic medicine. Working with a physician prepares students for the required interview. LECOM sets no limits on out-of-state resident admissions.

Four-year program curriculum
LECOM offers student-centered learning pathways at three locations: Erie and Greensburg, PA and Bradenton, FL. LECOM students also choose from traditional lecture-discussion, small group problem-based learning, and directed study curricula. Two pathways the Accelerated Physician Assistant and the Primary Care Scholars provide a condensed three-year track to becoming a physician.
