Full-time program
We holistically evaluate each candidate and consider their passion for their selected area of specialization, their ability to be academically successful, their leadership potential and their career goals. Additional review is given to letters of recommendation, work experience, community service and time spent volunteering, undergraduate records, standardized test scores and essay answers.
Executive program
Candidates must have at least 8 years of business experience and approval from their current employer. In addition to the online application, we require two letters of recommendation and undergraduate transcripts. Admissions interviews are on an invitation only basis. The GMAT exam is not required. Applications are accepted September through August
Part-time program
Candidates must have two years full-time work experience and an online application as well as GMAT score, two recommendations, two essays, and undergraduate transcripts. Admissions interviews by invitation only. Applications will be evaluated based on an applicant’s academic and professional qualifications, good fit with the general management major and the lock-step cohort program structure.

Full-time program
Wisconsin aims to be the school of choice for MBA students with a clear career objective. It is uniquely structured, offering a focused approach to specialized business disciplines. Students select one of our 10 career specializations. The first year is spent developing a strong business management foundation while the second year primarily focuses on strategy and career specialization coursework.
Executive program
The first year brings students up-to-date on the latest business practices and theory with courses in management, economics, finance, marketing, ethics, negotiations, and corporate governance. The second year focuses on emerging strategic and global issues with an emphasis in global business trends, business strategy, and financial management. An international trip is a degree requirement.
Part-time program
The Wisconsin Evening MBA program’s focus is a general management degree offered in a lock-step cohort structure. Classes meet twice a week for 32 months. Core and advanced classes are offered in marketing, operations, management, finance and accounting. An international trip is a degree requirement.
