Factors and Procedures Used in Admissions
(Data appear as originally submitted by this school)
Full-time program |
Each application is considered independently and holistically. The admission committee looks for indications of an applicant’s ability to succeed academically, to exhibit managerial and leadership potential, and to enhance the diversity of thought in the classroom in terms of nationality, undergraduate major, and work and life experiences. |
Executive program |
Admission for the Executive MBA program is designed to select mid-career managers wishing to make the transition to senior level management. Boston University seeks to attract successful individuals who have made an impact in their current careers, and who come from a variety of industries and functions. Successful students must be committed to learning in a team environment. |
Part-time program |
Admission to our Professional Evening M.B.A. Program is primarily for candidates who want to develop functional proficiency in a particular area of interest or to round out a candidate’s skill set. Successful applicants have a track record of academic achievement, and can display managerial and leadership potential though their previous experiences. |

Full-time program |
Our curriculum focuses on the cross-functional effects of management decisions, providing a holistic perspective that uniquely trains our students for the rigors of leadership and entrepreneurship. Students learn to evaluate the social and ethical implications of decisions, and are encouraged to create cultures that foster honesty, social consciousness, and innovation. |
Executive program |
The 18-month EMBA curriculum contains five modules and four residential weeks. The third residential week takes place at an international location. Classes meet every other Friday and Saturday. The program’s high-impact learning environment engages students through team taught cases, integrated projects, and simulations with a focus on developing enterprise wide vision. |
Part-time program |
The Professional Evening M.B.A. Curriculum is delivered on the Boston and Chelmsford, MA campuses and provides the same breadth of knowledge and ability to concentrate as the full-time program.
