Factors and Procedures Used in Admissions

(Data appear as originally submitted by this school)

Full-time program
We carefully evaluate all components of applications. We seek candidates with strong potential for academic and professional success and who are highly motivated, innovative, self-directed and possess a strong work ethic. Personal competencies such as communication, interpersonal, teamwork and leadership skills are among other key considerations. Post-undergraduate experience is not required.
Executive program
This dual degree program is designed for highly qualified professionals. Participants typically have between 10 and 15 years of experience in their fields, but others may have more or less experience, particularly if they are in career transition. While an undergraduate degree is required, it need not be in business administration.

Curricula Descriptions

(Data appear as originally submitted by this school)

Full-time program
There are no academic departments and no majors. Elective courses are required to fulfill depth and breadth requirements. Instead of 2 semesters, students take 4 mini-semesters per academic year. In a typical mini-semester, students take 4 or 5 courses affording students exposure to topics and professors. Students take at least 32 mini courses in the program, half of which are electives.
Executive program
The EMBA in Asset and Wealth Management gives students access to leading b-school faculty and experienced financial services practitioners. Comprised of 2-week classroom units, the program allows professionals to enhance their knowledge without spending long periods away from work. Half of the units occur at Carnegie Mellon University (US) and half are at the University of Lausanne(Switzerland).
Part-time program
Unlike many other leading business schools, the Tepper School of Business incorporates the same curriculum and the same faculty associated with the Full-Time MBA program. This ensures a high-caliber academic experience and degree that complements the Full-Time counterpart MBA program.
