Louisiana Economy

Since the beginning of the 21st century, the film industry has been rapidly developing in Louisiana. With tax breaks, the state has become the third (after California and New York) film production center in the United States, earning the nickname “The Hollywood of the South “.
Every year millions of tourists come to the “Pelican State” who are attracted by the unique nature of Louisiana, numerous historical monuments, and, of course, the “Carefree City” – New Orleans. The bars and nightclubs of the famous “French Quarter”, fine restaurants and boutiques, museums and concerts, paddle steamer rides along the Mississippi and many other entertainments have made New Orleans one of the most visited cities in the USA. Here, in the homeland of jazz, many music festivals and carnivals are held annually, the most famous of which is Mardi Gras. For fans of gambling, the hippodromes and casinos of Louisiana, concentrated in the Shreveport area, are also interesting.
